Boring

I think this blog is getting boring.   Not sure what to do about it.   Most readers of said blog do the same sort of mom thing I do so my lovely thoughts might just cause panic attacks rather than offer any sort of comfort.   My thoughts for today are that we have no matched socks and the unmatched ones jump out of the mismatched sock bin and travel all over the house with Evan's assistance.   Many of you live this so you can easily visualize this and the look on my face when I find the newly sorted laundry strewn about after I leave for a moment to refill my coffee cup.   Socks.   Teeny, tiny underwear.   This is my life.   Why would anyone else want to read about it????    Not sure.

  1. Oh my gosh I am so bored I just fell asleep on my laptop. On a pile of mis-matched socks.

  2. I just found your blog from the CSPP page. I don't have many friends who are mommies, so blogs like your help me see I'm normal. So, that's one person you've helped. :)

  3. I've wondered the same thing from time to time, but everyone once in awhile, I feel like I have a great thought, and it's nice to have some place to share it! I don't always get a lot of time to visit around to a bunch of other blogs, but whenever I do, I come upon something little gem of insight or advice that's helpful. So thanks for writing what you do!

  4. I don't know why, Karin, but for me it's a comfort to see that other people are slogging through the same sort of things I am. Thing is, where you are right now and where I am is pretty different since most of mine of pretty well grown up. But what you're doing is what I value, and for some reason I love reading about it. So if it drives you nuts to write, I certainly understand why you might want to quit. But if you enjoy writing, I'm going to keep reading.

By the way, nudge Anna and tell her to get those socks straightened out posthaste.

  5. Yeah, you're pretty funny, and I'm pretty sure your house will be my house is 5-10 years. I just have to maintain my humor like you have :)

  6. Susan, Anna has gone through the socks twice so far. Progress. We had a deep and profound conversation today about the elder children doing their own laundry and sorting their stinkin' socks and putting them away promptly and properly. (promptly and properly is a familism). Then.....perhaps they might have more socks and a running tab on whether or not they change their underwear. Just saying.
